Kathak is a North Indian classical dance form performed with an accompaniment of Tabla as the percussion instrument. Cyenthia Vijayakumar will introduce students to rhythmic footwork, elegant stances, graceful movements and swift pirouettes, accompanied by percussionist Paul Westfahl in a workshop that emphasizes the relationship between dance and music.
Dress Code: Participants should wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, with bare feet.
