Business Pumpkin Race 2026

Race the Rubicon is one of Hartford's most unique and entertaining community events. Local businesses purchase a pumpkin, transform it into a creative work of art, and then enter it into the race. The decorated pumpkins are launched over the waterfall and race downstream to the finish line at Brewed Omen, where spectators gather to cheer them on. The winning business earns a year of bragging rights and takes home the coveted traveling Quad Trophy until the next race. Proceeds from the event benefit Volunteers for a Beautiful Hartford, supporting community beautification projects that help keep Hartford vibrant, welcoming, and attractive for residents and visitors alike.
