Description
Bear Clan member Rhonda Funmaker is a traditional Ho Chunk gardener and cook. Rhonda specializes in organic gardening, natural cooking and preserving such foods as corn, squash, beans, berries, buffalo, and breads and is dedicated to promoting and protecting knowledge of traditional Ho Chunk ways passed on to her by earlier generations.
Join Rhonda in a hands on workshop at the Washington County Historical Society on May 10, 2012 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm to learn about traditional methods and the significance of corn to the Ho Chunk people. You will get to taste of traditional corn pudding and hear about dishes made with corn and grind a sample of your own to take home!
The Society member fee for this event is $10 per person, the non-members fee is $15 per person. Registration is required for this program as space is limited. Please call 262-335-4678 to reserve your spot!
